Weddings at Sunset Beach Resort
We would love to have you stay with us and have your event on our property.
We have had many weddings onsite and the advantage to having it on our property would be that you can have your ceremony right out front on our beach, which will be marked out that day for your private use, have the reception right up onto the property and then have your accommodations right here as well. We do also have onsite parking for at least 45 cars. If you will be having your event during turtle season which is May 1 - November 1, there would be lighting restrictions. The event would have to be tented and only the use of amber LED lights up inside the tent would be permitted.
We do require a 5 night minimum off-season (May - January) and 7 night minimum during season (February - April) in all the units. We require the deposits up front and can take all of them off of the unit that you utilize and I can invoice your guests or family directly for the other units in order to alleviate fees being paid by you. All balances would be due upon arrival. You do also have 60 days prior to arrival to cancel without penalty!

From the moment we first saw the Sunset Beach resort, we knew it was the perfect place for our dream destination wedding!! This property is absolute perfection, and if you are looking for an intimate, fun, and private wedding on Siesta Key- this is definitely the spot!!
It was exactly what we were looking for; right on beautiful siesta key, sunset right in front of us was, a one-stop shop for our ceremony and reception, and all of our favorite people staying in one place!!! It is beyond words for beauty and amazement and Our family and friends all staying together in one place was incredible. We now have so many memories to share with each other, and it was truly and experience we are so glad we had with all of them.
Chelly and Bill were always there at the drop of a hat if we needed anything, and answered any and all questions we had before we arrived. Inside the units were spotlessly clean, and the property itself was beautifully maintained and managed. We had fires every night, swam in the ocean and the pool, and even took out the kayaks and paddleboards during the day! The location of the beach house could not have been more perfect. Aside from the most beautiful beach being a few steps away, it was also perfect for us to have other hotels close by for the remainder of our guests traveling down ( we had 90 guests!!) and the main Siesta Key Village just a few walking blocks away too.
As a bride, anything that relieves your stress is a win- for me. Chelly was always there to help when I needed her with referrals or logistical questions and even after our wedding they took care of any extras we had left behind. I loved being able to wake up the morning of my wedding, looking outside at the beautiful beach, taking it all in and not have to go anywhere to get ready!
Our wedding day ran smoothly from start to finish, and all of our guests kept saying it was the most beautiful and fun wedding they had been too, and how this venue was absolutely perfect!
The fact that it is family owned and run gave us the exact feel we were looking for on our wedding day and our vacation together. Our whole time there was relaxed, easy going, fun, breathtakingly beautiful and lots of love and positive energy around! We loved staying at the beach house and so did all of our guests!! Everyone said our wedding was by far the best they had ever been too, and without our stay here, it would not have been the same!! Truly and amazing experience and we are all planning to stay here again next year! Thanks again for allowing our dream wedding to become a reality on your gorgeous property!!

My husband and I were married in April, 2014 and wanted an outdoor wedding on the beach. This location was perfect. Not only did it satisfy our desire to be as close to the beautiful Siesta Key beach as possible but it was private because we had the tent set up in the backyard of the beautiful home. It also alloted us with rooms for ourselves and guests to stay.
The homes were meticulously cleaned and decorated. We were amazed with the views and the quality inside and out. The owners were so easy to work with and the prices were affordable.
Everyone keeps talking about the wedding and the Sunset Beach Resort homes; all our guests want to go back there again. My husband and I have decided to make it a yearly tradition we loved it so much. Can't say enough good things about the venue it truly helped make our day special and unique.

You will love this!! The views are stunning, your back drop is siesta key's white sand and aqua water, and an air of romance. The grounds are gorgeous, the pool and deck are warm and welcoming. The main house is charming and comfortable. The accommodations were such that everyone in our family was able to stay on the compound. Chelly, the manger is welcoming friendly and helpful. I was so happy with every aspect of this venue. It is perfect for a beach wedding. You will NOT be disappointed!! Our wedding was beautiful. I can't say enough about how truly lovely Sunset Beach Resort is...absolutely enchanting!

My fiancé and I vacationed here several years ago and decided then, that it was the perfect place for our wedding.
The family that owns and operates it is so helpful and welcoming that they make it feel like home. We loved that we were able to have all our family stay in all the different units and everyone could be together, right where we were getting married and having the reception. It couldn't possibly be any more of a perfect set up.
We were married right on the beach, steps from the home we stayed in, then had the reception, followed by a bonfire on the lawn. It couldn't have been a better day!
The location is also perfect-just 2 blocks from Siesta Village, with lots of restaurants, shopping, and nightlife. Even though you're close to the village, the location is so quiet and cozy, with just the sound of the waves hitting the beach.
We couldn't have found a better place for our wedding day, and will be yearly visitors to Sunset Beach Resort!

My husband and I looked at having our wedding here prior to becoming engaged. We heard of this wonderful resort through word of mouth from friends.
Living in the Sarasota area, we wanted a beach wedding that was classy and beautiful. This area of Siesta Key is close to everything and offers local amenities for guests that are very hard to find.
In planning our wedding, Chelly was very helpful. She let us walk the grounds as much as we needed to plan our beautiful day. Along with beautiful, newly renovated houses to stay at, there is a fire pit, hammocks, kayaks and paddle boards for rent, a pool and beach front to the ocean with the most beautiful sunset. Our photos taken on the resort came out amazing, I feel so lucky to have been blessed with this resort for my wedding day. The cost of renting this place is much cheaper than renting an establishment for a day that does not include costs of having your wedding.
We made our wedding a little mini stay-cation. The resort is family owned and operated, very clean and well maintained. Chelly, who is the main contact for the resort made our lives much easier because she was involved as much and as little as we needed. She has many contacts that help if need be as far as flowers, cakes, organizers, photographers that are locally appreciated in our community. I would recommend this place to anyone because every bride deserves to have as special day as I did.
In addition to our wedding day, my husband and I feel that we made a family of friends that truly cared about the entire process of our wedding.
